Summer super growth!
This recent weather has meant a super spurt of growth in the garden. Everyone’s ringing to tell us that their borders have gone crazy, or the lawn has grown beyond control. Certainly it’s peak time for gardening jobs.

RHS-trained gardeners give expert advice
York Gardening is owned by local RHS-trained gardener and horticulturist, Diana Evans. Our gardening services are offered within the City of York and close-by villages. Diana, who studied Horticulture at Askham Bryan College York, brings year-round help in the garden to local home-owners, landlords and property developers and has done so for over 10 years.
Regular customers tell us that using a qualified gardener is more cost-effective than employing a handyman gardener (who can mow the lawn and hack down branches) but who sadly doesn’t know much about the plants themselves. Happily, York gardens are in safe hands with our plant-loving experts.

Alex S5 StarDiana is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her. I have virtually no knowledge about gardening but like plants and am happy to roll up my sleeves. Diana has provided really helpful suggestions on plants and tidy up, offered me a bit of an education session (being mindful of costs), and did some pruning work in our little garden. gemma cuss5 StarDiana listened to our budget and requirements and always checked in to ensure she understood what we needed. She recommended a tree removal expert to clear the area we wanted to. She then helped us identify some new trees for our garden discussing all options with us and sourcing the trees for us and planting. She was also very knowledgeable talking through our existing plants and how we could best locate these following changes we had made in the garden. nikki Wainhouse5 StarI have a lovely little garden which I've made from scratch with no idea what I'm doing! Diana calls now and again when I feel the need of a tidy up, and I'm gradually learning more about it. She is very helpful with advice and tips and always willing to answer questions on the phone if I'm not sure what to do. I don't have a regular slot but when I ring and ask her to come, she is always prompt and happy to tidy and cut back whatever needs doing. Fabulous!Monday 10th May 2021

She is an absolute delight to deal with and does a wonderful job, she takes post building site lawns and in no time at all gets them looking green and lush! Trusted implicitly with the keys to our properties, she reports any maintenance concerns, puts the Green bins out for collection, throws out the junk mail & litter picks without being asked!
