When we realised we needed a helping hand with our garden design, Matt came to our rescue. We knew what we wanted but weren't confident of how it should all come together, and the right plants and planting approaches to use. Matt has worked hard to help us transform our ideas into a comprehensive garden design that we can use and develop over the years. He has provided a wholly professional service and been thoroughly attentive to all our concerns and questions throughout. We have been given comprehensive plans and details for all areas of the design from construction drawings to planting guides. We first engaged Matt Haddon to design the garden area to the rear of our house and around a newly built orangery. From the first introductory meeting to final completion the whole process was very professional. Matt managed all aspects of the project from concept design through detailed planning to groundworks and planting in a very efficient way. We were delighted with the final outcome and now have the pleasure of enjoying our lovely garden when relaxing or dining in the orangery. Matt has recently completed another project for us to create a wildlife garden area around our pond. Once again , Matt delivered an excellent service and we are delighted with the final result. We would recommend Matt Haddon Gardens without hesitation.

After purchasing our new home with the not so small garden we thought we wanted we decided that we needed a professional to help us transform the wilderness into our garden oasis. We “Googled” (as you do) and read several garden designer’s reviews and drew up our shortlist. After a little deliberation we decided to invite a several to visit. From these visits we chose Matt to design and project manage the transformation of our garden. At the design stage Matt listened to our must haves and would likes and explored these with us whilst making suggestions and informing us of the various options eg types of decking. We loved Matt’s final design which included both hard and soft landscaping and gave him the (green) thumbs up. The hard landscaping was not without it’s problems however Matt and his contractors always discussed the possible solutions with us before proceeding. After completing the work Matt gave us an after-care plan for the various new plants and shrubs which is proving invaluable. This however was not the end of the after-care as we have had an issue with our wild meadow area which Matt is attending to. We are enjoying our new garden and look forward to many more years of enjoyment. If you are thinking of resigning your garden why not contact Matt , we are so glad we did.
