WCK Design and Conservation

The practice specialises in environmentally sustainable design, the conversion of historic buildings, energy conservation and environmental assessments. Since the formation of the practice in 2005 we have undertaken projects ranging from domestic alterations and extensions, conversions, particularly involving historic buildings, new housing, small commercial buildings and community buildings. We have a particular interest and knowledge of natural materials such as timber and earth, including the East Anglian technique of clay lump. We are Approved Energy Assessors (Energy Performance Certificates) and Approved Assessors for the Code for Sustainable Homes. The practice became a limited company under its current name in 2009.
