I live in Ongar in Essex and I was looking for someone local to build a wall-to-wall radiator cover in my lounge. The existing 4-metre length of wall was uninspired with tired looking low-level boxing containing waste and water pipes, and a single radiator on the wall above it. I had this idea that if I got the boxing re-built, and replaced the central radiator with two radiators, then a radiator cabinet could be built on top of the boxing thereby transforming the boxing into something that not only looked nice but was useable by way of a shelf plus some storage. The problem was finding someone that could do it. I struck absolute gold with Georgi. I'd recently used a carpenter for a job a few months earlier but when I offered him the job he absolutely wasn't interested - I imagine it was a bit out of his depth. Georgi made it look easy. I wanted it to have that authentic Victorian look about it, but contemporary and fresh at the same time. I wanted two removable radiator panels each comprising a metal grille framed in Victorian style moulding to cover the radiators. I also wanted narrow air slots at the top and bottom, and at each end I wanted storage panels also with Victorian mouldings and a neat push-to-open mechanism which did away with knobs or handles. And finally, a shelf on top. The result was more than I could have expected but exactly what I wanted. It is a beautiful piece of furniture that has transformed the wall from being the blandest in the house to quite possibly the best. It is amazing really. Georgi is very professional, has all the modern tools, very tidy, and is a genuinely very likable character and I honestly couldn't praise him enough. He showed me some pictures of his own house and it is beautiful. If you are lucky enough to get Georgi to take on a job for you - just leave him to do his magic and you will not be disappointed. He will be doing built-in wardrobes for me next.....

Georgi has done a couple of jobs in my living room for me now - firstly mounting my TV and hanging paintings up, and secondly a more involved job of fitting shelves, centralising and tiling my fireplace and building custom cabinets. I have been really happy with the services and outcomes in both instances. Georgi is professional, friendly and trustworthy (which I've found to be not a given amongst some of the industry), and takes time to understand what is wanted and needed. He keeps me updated on progress and ultimately just knows what he is doing on a range of carpentry, building and interior work. Really grateful for all Georgi's work - so thank you :)
