We are timber oak frame specialists, constructing hand crafted, bespoke timber oak frames working in both traditional and contemporary styles.
Based on the Wiltshire Somerset boarder we design and construct all manner of specialist timber oak frames including: complete oak framed houses, oak conservatories and oak frame extensions, timber carports, oak frame garages, conservation and old oak frame repairs, timber engineering and oak framed garden rooms. We are always interested in challenging or interesting structural builds.
The Traditional Carpenters have a flexible, highly skilled workforce meaning we can scale up or down depending on the size of your project. We always offer competitive prices, excellent customer care and most importantly, quality craftsmanship. Our work takes us all over the UK.

Ollie McAninch5 StarI would recommend The Traditional Carpenters for any oak frame building project. Tom and Luke did a fantastic job from inception, design, drawings, and erecting the oak frame, to installing the external glazing and cover boards. Their pricing was very competitive when compared to the large oak frame companies, with the added benefit of producing a completely bespoke and made-to-measure building. They are extremely skilled carpenters and I didn't really appreciate how much work and detailing was involved in the finished building until I saw the guys at work. We are delighted with the finished oak framed extension and will definitely be contacting them in the future for further timber building projects.Monday 16th November 2020
