Lots of lovely plants,furniture and things for the garden,although very expensive. **The Terrace Tea Room however is a gem** * Food hygiene rating of *5* which is excellent and not seen a lot. * Staff were friendly and helpful. * Menu not too expensive and quite extensive for a tea room: almost went for the afternoon tea( excellent value at £12 or £20 if for 2 people) but decided on tea for 2 plus apple pie and cream,and Lemon Meringue pie,to share. * Tea came in a wonderfully unexpected large teapot and was excellent. Only slightly negative comment here is perhaps the cups could be larger? * Both desserts were well made, a decent size without being too large, and tasted wonderful. Highly recommend the tea room and will visit again.

The cafe was overpriced. Even charged extra for cream go with our dessert. Reformed chicken on a sandwich, not even proper chicken. Poor service. Most of the staff didn't know how to smile. Won't go there again and would certainly not recommend. No now why is was quiet! However, it's one saving grace was the actual shopping part, which was good. Plenty of variety for everyone including a sweet shop, sewing shop, clothes, bags, shoes, and The Works.
