First time visiting here, party of 5. Friendly, well presented village pub. We ordered 4 different meals, all were of good standard and hot. Portions were good and lots of different ales to choose from. Prices for food were a little high, however quality was very good. Highly recommend a visit, we are certainly happy to return. 🙂👍

Was on a lovely day out in Cosby so decided to stop here for a bite to eat on our way home. We were told that we couldn’t order food for outside in the beer garden until later that afternoon which was fine. We hung around for a few drinks before asking again around 3pm. We were then told that at 4pm we could order food. Whilst this meant waiting another hour we were happy to wait. In the meantime the table next door to us had been able to order food and this had been brought out to them around 3pm. This was a kick in the teeth as they went into order with a menu in hand just after we were declined any food! We waited around until 4pm only to be then told that the next serving for inside was due and we would have to wait at least another 45 minutes. Finally one of our party spoke to the manager and begrudgingly she agreed to serve us around 4:10pm. A full roast dinner and 4 sandwiches then appeared 5 minutes later showing that we could have almost certainly ordered before we were eventually allowed too. Food was nice, but after the service we were given we won’t be returning!

Me and the mrs and the dogs went on Thursday 26th of May about 7pm and got to say we had such an amazing time, The pub was well kept clean and really nice inside, Big beer garden and very accommodating for your pooch with water and treats! The staff were superb very friendly and welcoming and food was delicious! Couldn’t fault it! Will be going back for another go. Very comfy leather seats to sit on to. Thanks for an enjoyable visit!

Lovely beer garden out back that gets the sun until late, food was really good and served inside and out, great selection of beers and cider... most important, really friendly Publican/bar staff. British pub at its best.
