This is the second time I have ordered from Taylors Clematis. The plants I received were very healthy, well packaged and delivered on my requested day. They were really helpful when I wanted to add two more clematis to my order which had recently become available again. Taylors will certainly be my first port of call when I want more clematis!!!

My sister and I, ordered 13 clematis between us along with feed. The arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Strong looking plants with lots of growth. As they said on their web site, all on canes and a good metre tall. They also added a brochure which gives detailed instructions for planting, care and pruning of each clematis. Their delivery company of choice, was the most efficient I have had experience of to date. Thank you Taylor’s, glad I found you on ‘google search’ . Totally recommend

I received a damaged plant (there were only a few roots still attached to the soil, the rest had been pulled out) and notified the company the next day as per their terms and conditions, but I received no response. I chased them after one month; they explained that they “have used the same box” for “over 40 years” and, therefore, the plant couldn’t have been damaged in transit. They then fabricated a story that I had cut the stems myself - despite me clearly stating it was the roots that were damaged and that there was no damage to the stem. This fallacy did not address the unprofessional lack of a response to my original email. To clarify, this was one plant in an order of eight, that had clearly become loose in transit. I work in Plant and Crop Science at Lancaster University and am quite proficient at handling plants. I did not cut any stems. I then replied, stating that I had followed their terms and conditions and requested a partial refund. I once again received no response. My experience appears consistent with other reviewers, both with a lack of response or if responding, blaming customers with a rude and arrogant tone. It is not acceptable to ignore a customer's email, even lacking the courtesy to inform them you won't honour a refund. Due to this poor customer service and a lack of honouring their terms and conditions, I strongly advise potential customers not to use this company. I have attached pictures of the dead plant, and it's intact stem, showing the lack of roots.

What's not to love about Taylors and their plants? We bought three lovely clematis from Taylors. Taylors seem to be THE specialists. They have a fantastic range and on their website you can filter your search by colour, growing season, height and so forth, which helps if you don't know at the start which plants you want. The plants duly arrived, excellently packaged to avoid any damage and looking very healthy and are now in the soil. As their website says, plants are mature, and these are taller and more mature than a clematis I had already bought from another site. This is a family business, and I don't know about you, but I always prefer to buy plants from that kind of business, who put their heart and soul into it and grown the plants, not from a chain, who buy in plants which look great when you buy them but then often disappoint. One last thing is very important to mention: value for money. The price for such mature plants is very reasonable indeed. I recommend them very highly.
