Tom & his company have carried out a number of jobs for us, including multiple mature tree & stump removal, tree pruning, hedge cutting & grass cutting. Tom is very knowledgeable & all the work has been carried out safely, reliably & our garden left tidy when they’ve finished. Tom also provides us with an ongoing programme of maintenance for our garden which is extremely helpful. I highly recommend Tom & his company.

Tom did a great job of trimming our front and back hedges. He and his team were professional and friendly and carried out the work exactly as requested. Communication leading up to the work was clear and prompt. We were also delighted with how they cleared up at the end of the day. Would very much recommend.

We asked Tom to advise on whether two trees with spreading roots needed to be cut down. He was knowledgeable and helpful and returned quickly to do the work. After discussion we had two more trees cut down as well. He and his colleague were very efficient and speedy in their work plus polite and easy to deal with. Very much recommend them.

When gales caused a large tree to fall awkwardly across the newest area of our local churchyard we needed to find a competent tree surgeon who could clear the tree without further damage to headstones. Tom Bird came highly recommended through contacts with the schools that he serves. He promptly visited the site, recognised the urgency and sensitivity of the situation, and without delay or any fuss gave most generously of his time and expertise to completely restore the area. He and his apprentice achieved what many had believed to be impossible. Tom showed great interest in the community aspects of the church as well as being at pains to comply with the wishes of those personally involved in the situation. He also shared plentiful advice about how best to manage other trees on the site. Since then, he has been invited back to cut a hedge running along the front of the church and has offered useful advice and help on general maintenance of the grounds. Typically, all traces of hedge cuttings were completely removed . The same attitude of taking a real pride in his work, listening carefully to the needs and interests of his clients and always being willing to give that little bit extra, have been demonstrated in his maintenance of the Rocklands Village Hall site. His patience, positivity and good humour always make dealings with Tom a real pleasure. DJ. August 2022
