We initially hired Craig Pullan to string wire on posts we’d pounded along our new property lines. We’d missed a few spots that required bracing (direction changes), regardless, Pullan ran the wire so tight and continuously that it pulled some posts out of the ground. We had him come back out to install adequate bracing and he claimed that he had to remove all the wire we’d already paid him to install, in order to brace the direction changes. When I got his bill for the day - $2,500 - he’d charged us to remove the wire he’d strung and then charged us again to “reinstall” it. Why the wire had to be completely removed in order to pound a few bracing posts, I will never understand. Pullan adjusted the bill by $500 after my husband discussed the issue with him but I’d caution anyone that hires him to have a detailed quote before starting any work.

We had our fence panels replaced by Silver Fern a few years ago after several of our old ones came loose and blew away in the wind! Steve came whilst I was at work, removed the old panels and took them away, and fitted the new ones. I’ve just thought to leave a good review because in these terrible winds we keep having, they are strong and solid and they haven’t budged an inch! Very happy with his workmanship.
