Recently used Sam to finish all the joinery in my office, which he finished high standard and I’m pleased with the finish. Always arrives when expected, a clean, tidy and professional job from start to finish. Sam came recommended to us by a friend and he did a fantastic job! We have renovated an entire house over the course of 2 years and as we got to the different stages of the refurbishment, Sam came back and did a little bit more as and when we needed him to! His attention to detail is wonderful and in an old terrace house where nothing is straight or true his patience and skills were definitely challenged! Nothing was too much and he took on anything we needed! including letting the dog out for a loo break when neither of us could get home at lunch and signing for the odd parcel! He is a very reliable, trustworthy and tidy worker! The pictures speak for themselves and I would highly recommend to anyone, he will certainly be our first call if we ever need anything in the future! Sam was energetic and enthusiastic to create a usable decking space in an area of our garden we tended to avoid (largely because our septic tank is deep down underground!) As we wanted to incorporate two large stone slabs for an Indian fire pit, there was some heavy graft to start with. Sam worked consistently and, whilst taking his initiative on the framework of the decked area, he communicated with us to smooth out any snags/changes which appeared, quickly and satisfactorily. One of the original plans was to make a removable section for when the septic tank needs emptying. Concerned that this would cause a certain level of instability and wobble, Sam has instead photographed the project taking particular note of where the secure boards can be lifted. The end result is stunning and far from being just the decorative garden feature anticipated, we have a fantastic decking area we enjoy spending time on, whatever the weather! Sam Wood made a fantastic job of our new boot room. We gave Sam a couple of pictures of the type of built in unit we wanted and then Sam took it from there to plan and design our space. We’re really pleased with his work, it looks great and we receive lots of compliments on the efficient use of the space. Sam has also refit the inside of our existing airing cupboard to make a more useful space for bedding & towels. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sam Wood as a professional, polite and enthusiastic joiner.
