Pip has done an outstanding job in designing the garden of our new build house. We have gone from the builder’s scrappy turf and six slabs to a fully realised garden on two levels that incorporates our priorities: plenty of space for plants plus shade, seating areas and wildlife friendly. The process from design to construction drawings was clear, professional and handled patiently. Pip listened, understood what we were after, contributed his knowledge and advice and came up with a design and planting plan that is beautiful as well as suitable for the space. Feedback and tweaks were accommodated smoothly and he worked seamlessly with the builder. Pip’s plant knowledge is first class and he worked like a Trojan to get all the plants in on the hottest day so far this year. I can’t recommend him highly enough for a first class design service.

Pip's advisory visit was a joy. I love my garden but there were still areas I wanted to develop. Pip immediately understood the nature of the garden and what I wanted to achieve. He offered some brilliant design ideas and lots of planting suggestions for tricky places. The follow-up report detailed everything we'd discussed and more. So now I have a plan and can confidently choose plants that will create the atmosphere I want and that will thrive in my garden. I couldn't be more pleased.

Pip came to give us advice on how to maintain the plants and shrubs we already have and suggest how to improve planting in our borders. Pip’s knowledge on anything plant orientated is second to none ! This visit was a gift voucher given as a 2 hour practical advisory session to my husband from our children and worth every penny ! Our daughter recommended using the services of Pip Smith, Landscape Designer and the complete package Pip provided has been outstanding. Parts of the garden were already completed but we wanted to make an additional alteration. Pip immediately offered in depth and professional advice and could see exactly what was required with his knowledge of plants and landscape design. Pip provides a fully comprehensive detailed planting plan, keeps clients well informed of progress throughout, always punctual, pays attention to detail and has an excellent rapport with clients.
