We are new to the house renovating world and were looking for ways to update a dated 60's bungalow. Howard at partnership design came up with some excellent, thoughtful and stylish designs in keeping with what we asked for. He considered our family and how we would use the space. He was extremely helpful in discussing what would and would not work, what issues there could be and what we had the budget for. We love the detail and consideration given to the drawings and the help calmly navigating the building regulations/planning application was brilliant. Howard knows what he is doing for sure! We can't wait for the next stage and seeing the plans realised.

Howard was recommened by a neighbour and we've used him twice now... a recommendation in itself. His design experience was very useful in steering the design and helped us maximaise the visual impact and practicality of our home renovations. He came up with lots of helpful suggestions that enhanced the design that we hadn't considered. We appreaciated him taking care of the planning consents & his design drawings greatly helped the builder.

Partnership Design and Howard Mudd were a very lucky find for me. The owner of a lovely Cotswold Cottage, I had been considering ways of making it even more attractive to live in as the downstairs layout in particular, in common with many such older properties, had its limitations and was too open plan for my taste, with a rather obtrusive central staircase. Never having had an extension built on any property I owned before, I needed someone with a good imagination to see how I could develop the cottage and its lovely garden to maximum advantage. Howard proved to be just the man for the job, seeing the potential of extending the kitchen into a spacious garden/ dining room that took advantage of a lovely view outside, and re-configuring the sitting room downstairs so I could incorporate another cloakroom, and shift the stairs. He had an imaginative solution then on how to preserve the three bedrooms upstairs. I would never have thought of, or come up with these excellent solutions on my own. At each stage in the process, Howard was careful to explain the options, helped me understand practical considerations, recommend opportunities and kept me from falling into various pitfalls I would not have seen on my own. His experience and ideas really told, and he was always prepared to follow up questions through email, or just popping round for another chat when they arose. I was deeply impressed with the care and detail he had gone into with the drawings, and was at every point sensible, sensitive, and thoroughly professional. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who wants home development advice and ideas and to realise them. My next-door neighbour was quick to follow suit and has got him to re-design her own cottage in a way that develops its potential too. Dr. M. C

Having purchased a completely derelict, 17th century farmhouse, we needed a designer to come up with a sympathetic renovation and an open-plan kitchen extension. We approached several companies, but with his experience of older buildings, his enthusiasm for the project and his glowing recommendations, Howard Mudd and Partnership Design were the clear choice. We had some specific requirements for how we wanted to use individual rooms and being an old house, there were several awkward spaces to work with. However, Howard took those challenges and found imaginative and practical solutions to make the spaces work for us in ways that we would never have thought of ourselves. Furthermore, he helped us see that a more modern, contrasting extension would suit the house better than one that ‘blends in’. Throughout the project, we found Howard to be very reliable; he always completed every stage when he said he would, was always prompt in responding to our queries and his knowledge and experience meant there was never any doubt about the advice he offered. Overall, we have been incredibly impressed with Howard and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
