This is a very nice garden centre and not as overly priced as some of the chain stores. The location is very beautiful, and the grounds are extensive. The variation in stock is good to see. From beautiful plants, gardening tools, seeds and more.

Very good garden centre. Not massive but plenty of good value plants and other garden stuff. Chap who served us was very pleasant and helpful.

Had high expectations before we went in.. this place doesn't seem to be taken care of.. plants are not healthy, not many types of them are seen either... Staff are no where to be seen, no help and suggestions whatsoever...

Oakhurst is a medium sized independent garden centre set in the grounds of a once grand house. Staff are ever-present, knowledgeable and helpful with an additional sprinkling of good humour. A wide range of plants in a variety of sizes are clearly labelled and organised making selection a dangerous prospect for the easily tempted. The shop offers an array of practical and decorative items. There is a cafe on site, in the house conservatory, but I have never had time to visit it.

We found everything we needed but on this occasion did not find the lady serving to be friendly at all, infact quite the opposite. It was almost as if we were bothering her when we came to pay for our goods.
