Contacted several Gate companies requesting a quotation for an electric sliding gate. Some didn't reply, some took ages, one turned up and quoted a huge figure, one quoted a huge "ball-park figure" without visiting. This was becoming a chore. After some searching I found Simon at Motion Gates. Great communications, very prompt, clear and concise. Simon called around for a site visit, we discussed all options and after going into some detail regarding the safety features etc he had enough information to supply a quotation. The quote arrived promptly and the price was so much lower than the other two prices I rang him back to check. All was correct, no skimping on labour or materials either. The installation price included the concreting in of a large steel which the track would attached too, robust enough for trucks to drive over which we needed. The metalwork of the gate was galvanized, powder coated, the timber was Italian hardwood. What particularly impressed me was that the timber was oiled before assembly so all edges were protected. The installation went well, communications were good which ensured the job progressed exactly how we wanted (height of controls on the wall etc) It turned out that a higher power motor was required as the gate manufacturer had made the gate heavier than expected and Simon supplied this at no extra cost. All spoil was removed and the site swept clean (cleaner than it was before!) If we had to fit another gate I wouldn't even bother asking any one else to quote, I'd simply contact Simon again. As an aside note, if you're thinking of a sim card based intercom / gate then 1pmobile are perfect for the job.

I am very happy with the services provided by Motion Gate Ltd. Simon went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, advising us on our bespoke design of electric gate. The gate was installed to the highest standards with safety being a high priority. Simon was very clear in explaining how the gate operated, and even offered to complete our first annual service free of charge! Simon has done an excellent remedial job on a faulty electric gate system. Simon is very methodical and thorough. He identified and corrected many wrongs in our existing installation which was fitted by someone else. Now working perfectly, so very highly recommended!
