I often get asked about how I got into the world of grass cutting and why did I choose such a cheesy company name. ​ 17 years ago my elderly neighbour broke her leg. As a good neighbour I offered to cut her grass whilst she recovered. After several weeks another elderly neighbour approached me and asked if I could help with his lawn too. I of course accepted and now had 2 lawns plus my own to cut. It snowballed to 5 lawns plus my own. All the neighbours knew each other and I of course was there grass man by now. ​ The joke was they all then started to refer to their lawns and Mike’s Lawns.
