I use this Garden Centre regularly and always receive excellent service from the many members of staff we have gotten to know over the years. The reason for this review to to 'call out' the amazing experience I had last week when my young dog had a very messy accident in the garden centre. One of the staff, Claire from Garden Furniture dept. came to my rescue (even though we weren't in her dept.) She quickly went a got loads of tissue etc and then proceeded to help me clear it all up, which is not the most pleasant of things to have done. She could have easily just given me the materials and I would have been very happy with that. But no she got down on her hands and knees and helped me clean it all up and then got the store cleaners involved to disinfect the whole area so that within a few minutes it dealt with. Claire definitely went the extra mile and I remain so grateful to her for he help in what was quite a stressful few minutes for myself and my husband, who quickly took my pup outside to get her cleaned up. This garden centre has recently had a change of General Manager, Adam, and his is fantastic and is turning what was already a fabulous Garden Centre into an outstanding one. From what I can see his staff love him and his great leadership. As a customer these things are very observable. Thank you Claire, you were a star that day, Thanks for Adam and all his staff for consistent great service. I probably don't say it often enough so it was important to write this post at this point.

Melbicks has recently undergone a face lift and seems is all the more youthful for its surgery. Great range of plants,two excellent coffee shops, a fantastic butchers ( to be fair that was always there and always top notch) and other gardening paraphernalia that should appeal to all generations and cultures. Its a shame that the current roadworks have made MELBICKS extremely difficult to get to,but that's not their fault. I would highly recommend a visit to Melbicks.

Garden centre currently undergoing some alterations but areas easily accessible. When alterations are completed it will be a lovely garden centre certainly worth visiting. Staff go out of their way to be helpful and are very pleasant. I will definitely be visiting this garden centre on several occasions

Great garden centre. Good quality plants and every thing for the garden. Great butchers too! That was my last review. Last year. My wife and I went again this week. It's being refurbished. It looks good. We bought some plants, looked around then went for lunch. It is half-term week. The restaurant was packed. In Did we make a mistake? No. We we're look after by the staff. Our order was taken, we were advise there would be a delay. We decided to wait. Our drinks arrived and out meal did too, within 15 minutes. And a great meal it was too! Hats off to Helen, the manager, handling a difficult time well and efficiently. Top marks. 10/10
