As well as private clients I offer a trade service for builders, property developers and landscape contractors.  I am are based in Ackworth, Pontefract working in Wakefield and throughout West Yorkshire

We recently used Mick (Autumn 2022) to design and project manage our garden renovation. Mick was professional and well connected to local skilled trades people. Our job tool 3 weeks and everyday people were on site with no days lost. We are very happy with the end result and quality of materials. Thanks Mick!

I approached Mick last year regarding a design for my garden. It’s quite an awkward layout as it slopes away from the house and across so I wanted a designer in to map out how it was going to look before I arranged for a contractor to do the work. Mick created two fantastic 3D designs for me to choose from after our initial meeting so I got a really good feel about how the garden was going to look. Once I selected the design he kindly arranged to have project quoted as well. I accepted the quotation but I hadn't really thought about having a project manager thinking that I could organise things myself. After taking a little time to consider I booked his services as I've never done garden design before and I'm so glad that I did. Mick has been able to organise the other contractors such as electrics and planting who worked alongside the main contractor. When the work was ongoing he came round each morning to ensure things were going to plan and his design was being followed. I did make a few changes along the way, he listened to my thoughts but gave gentle advice and guidance to ensure I was making the right decisions. I am thrilled with the work Mick and his team have done it really is the garden of my dreams and cannot recommend his services highly enough!!

I contacted Mick to request a garden design after him being higly recommended by a close family member. He met with us to talk through ideas and gave us food for thought. Following this meeting, he created two fantastic 3D designs for us to choose from which gave a good indication of how the garden was going to look as a finished product. Mick also provides a project management service which we made use of and is very much worth the small fee.Mick organised the contractors which were SB paving. When the work was ongoing he visited daily to ensure things were going to plan and his design was being followed. Myself and my husband are extremley happywith Micks design and the contractors .it has gone above and beyond our expectations and cannot recommend his services highly enough

I don't write many reviews but I've been meaning to write this one a while as it's right to do so. We were stuck for ideas, and for someone to do the work, but desperately wanted to improve the back garden, driveway and front garden. It was all a bit tired and letting the house down in truth. We wanted to enjoy the garden more, have less maintenance to do (weeding, there was way too much weeding) and improve the front aspect for better kerb appeal. Having made several false starts with others, I reached out to Mick Palmer after finding him online. Now if like I was, you're a little reluctant to pay for garden design and project management, it's worth reconsidering. Once we got talking to Mick this is when things got moving. Mick visited us and talked to us about what we were trying to achieve and what we'd use the space for. He listened, gently challenged us, gave us food for thought, and came up with options we hadn't considered. We got 2 designs done and picked the best aspects from each. He then did a third design combining them. These were 3D virtual walkthrough designs that were easy to see and understand. Like Mick said at the time, if you like the design you'll like the garden, they're that accurate. And they were. Mick then organised a trusted team from his network of contacts and scheduled the work. We had to wait a while (they were busy but that's good right?) and got a great job, done to budget and on time. The difference is well, pretty amazing really, a real transformation and true to the design. I'm just looking at it now and, honestly, couldn't be happier. And like Mick said again, even when you're not sat out in it, you look out onto it, so it improves being inside as well as out! Thanks again Mick, great job that'll be much appreciated for years to come.

Really good service. Garden design exceed our expectations, we not even though that it can be arranged in that way. however the most important the customer service was superb, always get back to us, provided regular update's and lessen to us. 6* review we will add photos after we complete the project
