John and his team have re-turfed our front and back lawns. This involved removal of the old turf, removal of all weeds , roots, stones etc. John came round and we discussed what we wanted but also what he thought was best. The team turned up on time and never stopped, well, actually they did, when I mentioned a cuppa. Make sure you have Green Tea bags for John ! We had work done previously to make a patio, and veggie plot. John and the lads were very careful not to damage any of this work. The turf was laid and trimmed very neatly, and any mess was thoroughly cleaned up. Between them, they all gave me information on keeping the grass in tip top condition. Personally, I can not fault my experience of John Hood Landscaping & Gardening Services

John Hood was given the contract a couple of seasons ago by the Duke of Northumberland to regularly cut the sloping grass bank bordering our development in Rothbury. I can honestly say that John has always delivered a first class service. He is prompt, always uses appropriate grass-cutting machinery for the difficult sloping bank, and unfailingly completes a quality and tidy job every fortnight, come rain or shine! I'm certain that l am not alone on our development in saying "thank you" to John Hood & co. for providing a thoroughly professional and much-needed grass cutting service. Thank you John, very much appreciated.

Neighbours employed this company. Having parked in front of my property, I was not impressed by them refuelling their power tools on the edge of my lawn. My lawn briefly became a thoroughfare for access to their vehicle, until I challenged them. I wasn't going to say anything until one of the workmen spat on the lawn. So I would suggest if you want to upset your neighbours, this is the company to go for.

Might be good at gardening but using a petrol strimmer at 8 AM in the morning in the middle of a domestic housing area isn't very considerate. Very rude about it when approached and when phoned about it the response was "Well, we have to put up with wagons starting up at this time". On a plus side he DID ring back later but was told that legally he could start at 7:30 AM. Sorry mate but won't be recommending you with that attitude.
