More concerned with getting more money from you. Doesn’t actually seem to do the work just sits there expecting the client to advise him on the building and watches his young lads working. The boys are actually decent and with a good tradesman could go far. Gareth would disappear for a week then phone and say he needs more money. We knocked him on the end and got trades in our selves to finish. He also didn’t concrete or lay a DPM or DPC inside the door threshold so damp is a constant problem. Terrible service

The price kept increasing throughout the job. Took my money in installments(learnt my lesson there). After I refused to give him more money, he removed all tools while I was in work and never came back. He left 2 tons of stone blocking my driveway and had mixed cement on my front garden which needed re-turfing. He also took extra money to install a drain which we've since discovered leads no where, it's just a pipe going a few feet into the ground. I also had to borrow a trailer and spend a day ferrying the rubbish and rubble he left all over my property up the local tip. He has ignored all calls and texts for months. It has cost thousands to put right the mess he made. I had 2 different builders quote to finish the job and they both laughed at the quality of his work. Citizens advice have said that because he illegally gives doorstep quotes and not written ones, we'll never get any money back. Never ever ever give this man money. UPDATE 2020- after digging down to investigate why weep holes in the retaining wall are blocked, I've discovered that the retaining wall for my garden is only a single skin of block and not returned anywhere. Further, the mortar between blocks is only on the front for show and not spread across the entirety of the block which means there is no secure bond. Also the decorative capping stones have started falling off. Not only is he criminal in his business dealings, his workmanship is dangerous and I would not be surprised he causes serious injury or worse someday.

They walked away from the job and left it unfinished, they took almost all my money. The job turned out to be twice the price quoted. I now have to pay more to another builder to finish the job. Some days he did not turn up. The job started 4 months ago, as they have only been turning up occasionally some weeks not at all He charges £300 per day for 3 workers however he himself does no work. He sits in his van all day doing nothing while the younger builder and apprentice do the job. I have since found out he regularly leaves jobs unfinished, just google his business name, he is a liar...

After agreeing the job with Gareth I came across these reviews which really worried me because it made for very sceptical reading. I spoke with Gareth and agreed that money would be paid on completion of the job. The job began straight away and I'm pleased to say that Gareth and his team have done fantastic work on my patio and I'm very pleased with it. Even coming back a couple of months later after I'd paid them to finish off some minor brickwork as it was previously agreed. I'm looking forward to enjoying the patio even more next Summer!

NEVER trust this man! We agreed to pay by instalments, he took 85% of the money and never returned. We are left with a job half done which we now have to pay someone to finish, also he left all his rubbish left over material at my property which I now have to hire a skip to remove. A TRUE COWBOY BUILDER, NEVER TRUST HIM
