Tell us a little bit about what you do…

The main part of our business is the Seasonal Treatment programme. Visiting five times a year applying moss control throughout the autumn, winter and spring and weed killer through the summer. Using professional products not available on the domestic market for better results

The Greensleeves range of fertilisers, (unique to us) has been developed from technology used in the professional turf maintenance industry and in conjunction with the world’s leading fertiliser and seed suppliers.

Using a high nitrogen feed in the spring to encourage growth all of our fertiliser is polymer coated for a controlled release. Through the summer we balance the mixture to promote recovery before finally increasing the potassium in the autumn to encourage root strength within a larger sized granule to take the grass plant through the winter. Treatments start at £15. No contracts or tie-ins

I also provide mechanical services using professional machinery Scarification – Aeration (Hollow Tining) – Overseeding – Spiking & Hydrating – Insect problems & Fungicides.

We have Max & Cliff on the lawns and Louise part-time in the office.

“All the EN postcodes plus N14, N20 & N21.”

What’s the most unusual obstacle you’ve had to overcome i.e. steepest/biggest/roughest lawn?

Nothing is an obstacle to us, we just see solutions, not problems (Many years of management training!)

What’s the best thing about your job?

“Meeting the people.”

Why did you choose to specialise in lawns?

“Because I can’t do gardening
