My wife and I first employed young Anthony (as he then was!) some thirty years ago to pave our back garden. First class work, still sound some twenty years later when we sold the property. He’s still trading (in itself a solid recommendation) and we’ve just had him completely remodel the back garden of the property we’re now in. A large and complex project, completed on time and on budget. We're delighted with the result and I could not recommend him more highly.

I would like to inform anyone who decides to read the reviews for this contractor, that in actual fact, he is top quality, who performs high quality landscapes. In regards to the previous review regarding the poor quality of work, it is absolute rubbish. This review is in regards to work that happened 9 years ago, so I find it funny that all of a sudden this review has come up after this many years. Ignore this obscene review of someone who seems to be bored and holds a grudge with their neighbour who he abused for the work carried out. All work that was carried out was done to the highest standard, I would highly recommend this contractor and please ignore the previous review which does not detail the full truth.

It’s disappointing that I find myself in the position of posting this review. However, as I find myself subject to a sustained and protracted method of bullying by this contractor I feel it is just, to prevent others being subject to such unprofessionalism and underhand tactics. My immediate neighbour employed English landscapes to replace his driveway and pathway in order to improve their property. During the works my neighbour and the contractor approached me stating that some of my driveway and adjoining path would need to be lifted to ensure the new edging would be suitably founded and support. At the time they stated I would be liable to legal suit should any subsequent works to my driveway damage the new adjoining driveway. In hindsight this would appear to be the initial premeditated and underhand method to encourage my joint investment in our adjoining shared side path. Nevertheless, I agreed with my neighbour to the replacement of the shared interconnecting pathway and paid £600 by cheque for my portion and the limited removal of part of my driveway to facilitate the foundation of his new block work. Returning from work early one Thursday, to my dismay I found an excessive unauthorised portion of my driveway had been removed. My initial frustration was caused by the inability to park my works vehicle on my own driveway, a vehicle that contains the essential tools for my work. I was forced to park on the street with the understandable concern around its security. Although this may seem a minor inconvenience the reasoning behind the excessive unauthorised and illegal encroachment on my land soon became apparent. The rainwater outlets on the adjoining driveway’s “Ahco” type ‘run off’ drain had been run across my land and into my sewage pipe work. On checking with the local authority, not only was this a breach of building regulations but illegal without documented agreement . After protestation with my neighbour and the contractor this was eventually rectified and the driveway / pathway works completed . Unfortunately this was not the end of the debacle. A number of weeks later I was presented with a bill for a further £700 for the remediation! A bill that remains and will remain unpaid. Since then the contractor has left a false and damaging review about my company online. He has reported ‘ Poor and obstructive ‘ parking to the HQ of reliable contractors working at my property. Yes this contractor is also a neighbour! Unfortunately, the most damaging outcome is that he has ruined the amicable relationship between myself and my immediate neighbour. The root cause of the whole situation was clearly due to improper planning and the poor execution of his task and subsequent use of false pretences, false threats of legal liability and the inability for open honest discussion resulting in the damage and unauthorised encroachment to my property. I can therefore only conclude that I would not recommend the use of this company and would advise you to seek a professional contractor that’s a member of a recognised trade body.
