We are a Sawmill cutting homegrown logs from sustainable forests which are processed through the sawmill and a wide range of finished fencing products are produced.
Over the years the business has expanded and the new sawmill, installed in 2005, is capable of producing over 1,000m3 of sawn timber a week. Large stocks are held on site to meet customer demand, with deliveries arranged throughout Central and Southern England.
Two timber treatment plants on site provide treatment with both green and brown using Impra Permawood ACQ preservative. HC4 Treated Timber and Anti- Sapstain Treated Timber is also available.

Richard Pilch5 StarMy first visit today. I live in Mulbarton, so a nice 22 mile trip to get 30 feather edge boards. Very pleased I went, as they were all very polite and professional. I was served very quickly and they loaded my car for me. The young lady in the office was polite and helpful. I will without doubt use them again and recommend them to my friends.

I've been going to Ellis Timber for a while now to pick up large loads of timber for a local manufacturing company. This has always been during the pandemic and they have been operating strict Covid-19 rules all of that time. They have a one way system taking you to the office and a strict one customer only inside the office where masks are required and hand sanitiser is available on the counter.
Once you've paid for your order you're given an invoice and go back outside and wait by your vehicle. This is where the process in my opinion is a little lacking. As there is no parking system in place you basically park wherever you want within the parking area, the forklift operators don't know who arrived first and so rely on the customers approaching them whilst they are working to get their attention and get the invoice filled.
In general it seems to work OK but I feel that some people who may not be regulars may miss out on their place in the "queue".
My advice is to be pushy and not worry about the other customers, let them look after themselves..Tuesday 9th March 2021
