Great place for gardening needs. However, the cafe really let's it down! It is always such along wait to be served. The seating area had in recent times been quadrupled in size but they don't seem to have considered more staff to cope! We were there just before lunch and waited a long time, when we came out the queue and wait time was significantly longer. Something needs to improve, as the food and drinks are really good...just a shame customer service let's it down.

The shop is lovely, well laid out. But the cafe is not good at all. Very slow. We had tea and cake. The milk was off…. White lumps on top of tea, carrot cake and walnut cake extremely dry. This was only 10am , so would expect everything to be perfect.

Good food within a very pleasantly furbished setting. Enjoyed a tasty, well cooked breakfast and decided to have lunch there too. Would recommend visiting the nursery and the available shops.

Garden centre was lovely. (Cafe 1 star) We visited with our son and grandchildren. We decided to have lunch there as the children were hungry. Big mistake! We waited 30 minutes in the Queue to order food. And almost an hour for it to arrive. Spoke to staff on two occasions to ask when our food would be ready. Staff were coming out of the kitchen with food, then taking it back in, then coming out again. It was like watching a scene from Fawlty Towers. Never again.

Nice place to visit. Good variety of home plants. Shame no big bags of soil available for houseplants repotting.
