Who Are We?
Established since 1998, DJS Architectural Services Ltd offers a personal but professional service covering all aspects of Domestic and Commercial Architectural Services working on small project extensions to large scale new builds and commercials works.
Our Clients are homeowners looking to extend their home or private developers / builders who require plans preparing for new build housing, extensions, loft conversions or commercial developments.
Based in Long Eaton but serving customers across the region, we have a broad client base with a high percentage of business gained on recommendation.
We work with our Clients to prepare Plans and designs to suit their requirements and then submit for Local Authority Planning and Building Regulation Applications.
We are Chartered members of the "Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists" and hold adequate Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Who Will I Deal With?
Sandy Sanders will personally deal with your project from inception to completion of Approvals with the support of Justine who manages the administration of each project. This ensures you receive a personal but professional service throughout the process.
A strong customer relationship will be developed and you can rest assured that you have known entities dealing with your project at all times. We endeavour to keep you up to date with every stage of your project and ensure you are fully aware of the next steps in the process.
Sandy has been working within Architecture since 1991 and as the sole Director of DJS Architectural Services Ltd has been providing Architectural Services throughout the region since 1998.

Gerald Nupoh5 StarSandy has been brilliant throughout the design and Approval process of my home extension. He prepared the plans and drawings and submitted the application for approval. He chased the application up quicker than I even imagined. He is a very thorough person who’s down to details. This was obvious in his work, which I was very pleased with. He was always accessible and quick to respond to any query. Even the builders lauded his work. I will recommend Sandy to anyone looking for a good quality work.Wednesday 29th December 2021
Andy Clifton5 StarI have employed Sandy to complete three stages of an extension to my home, these are to prepare the plans and drawings, prepare and submit the planning application and then get builders to submit quotes for the work and assist in deciding which will be best for the job.
Sandy is very thorough with his planning and drawings and from the first time he visited to explain what he did he went through all aspects that needed to be considered from design to where the drains would go. I had very few questions for him as he'd covered anything I could think of in his explanations but, if I did need to ask, he was always available to assist by 'phone. Everything has gone very smooth throughout all stages.
Everyone who has needed to see the drawings / plans has said how comprehensive they are; I agree!

Matt Robson5 StarFelt hugely helped and encouraged by Sandy in our first venture into the world of home extensions. He was always available, quick to respond to messages, and able to both provide ideas, but also take on board our desires, as we developed the plans together. He provided good support through the planning application stage and always kept us up to date with what was going on, and chased things up when they needed sorting. S Singh1 StarWe instructed Sandy for a significant redesign + extension of our property. Sandy provide little creativity with the designs with the budget provided. We had to trace the property layout to show how the property could look, which we did not expect when we were paying a professional.
During the planning process Sandy offered little support or understanding of the technical terms the planner used. We found ourselves having to communicate directly with the planning department.
At the end of the process we were charged more for the additional work which we did not feel was justified especially as we had to guide him and work with the planners to gain approval.
We subsequently started the process again with a new architect which we are now extremely happy with.Wednesday 27th October 2021
