Andrew McAlpine5 StarI have bought firewood from Dan for a couple of years now and would not use any other supplier. The firewood has always been well seasoned to ensure a good burn / heat output and I have done some local research and found he is not as expensive as other suppliers. S Souter2 StarReally disappointed. Would not recommend and definitely won’t use again. The wood I received didn’t seem to be well seasoned (we’ve recently moved and had a burner in our old house so am familiar with wood burning), and the fires we were getting were not satisfactory. I therefore got in touch to request swapping the remaining wood if there was drier available – only got a response after several days when they believed we hadn’t paid, when in actual fact we had (many days prior) and obviously confirmed it with them (providing our date and reference used). I then asked if they could confirm our payment as we were concerned our money hadn’t reached them, but haven’t yet had an answer. I’ve just given up and am having to chop every log up into smaller pieces to get a decent fire.
Update: a full refund has since been offered which was very much appreciated.Wednesday 27th January 2021
