Having inherited the property in 2016 and moving back to Malvern it was time to start renovating but who to use? It is very easy to write pretty much anything on a website saying how great your company is but word of mouth and previous jobs count. I got to know Mike in the pub and just talking and looking at photos of stuff he was doing and had done was enough to ask him to come and have a look. So far the 1950’s front drive has been transformed along with a helping hand on the internals of the house. All being well the back garden is in for a transformation very soon along with a bit of finishing off left until the back garden project. The boys work a long day and the site is clean and tidy at the end of the day, costs seem very fair and neighbours happy with deliveries and noise levels. Take a look at some of the projects on website. D-S have done a superb job renovating my derelict water mill on Orkney. Mike and his team have done everything from re-roofing the entire building to laying the floors – and everything in between! They also tackled the landscaping outside transforming the whole property into something out of Grand Designs. I can’t recommend the quality of work highly enough! We have had two big jobs done with them, a block paved driveway and a large area of decking which required a solid frame to be built to level the garden. Mike is very professional and will always give his honest opinion as to the best and most cost effective way of achieving the result you require. Whilst doing our decking, Mike very kindly help us fixed our fence which had been damaged in a recent storm. The work is done in a timely manner to a very good standard. Mike and his team laid a porcelain patio for us. They were very polite and kept everything tidy. They gave us a firm price up front which didn’t change although there were a couple of extra bits. Very good after sales care too

We employed Mike Poole's company, D-S Building and Landscaping to install stone edging to garden flower borders and repair brick gate and fence pillars. They had to return to redo the stone edging, as it was not bedded into the concrete properly, so wobbled. Having taken out some soil to lay the border stones, they infilled the gap with rubble. Picture attached. The wrought iron driveway gates were not refitted properly, and it took several return visits, and repair work by the local blacksmith, to complete the job! For the first visit, they gave just hours notice, despite knowing we had to move many plants for the edging to be installed. For the pillars they turned up a day early! We had to completely alter our plans for that day. It was lucky we had not already gone out, as they needed access to water!! Having taken several weeks to complete a job that should have been finished within one, Mike then pestered us for immediate payment. The first email arrived at 06.03 on the morning the blacksmith arrived to fit the gates - at 10.00am. The following week we received another 5 emails! NB. It is interesting to note that at the time of writing the only other review is for five stars from one Mike Poole, i.e. the name of the owner of the company!
