Darren Hodson1 StarBe wary, get a formal quote, and dont expect them to turn up.
I had read lots of reviews for D&R fencing and decided to appoint them to support on building a large replacement fence. However, there were warning signs. The formal quote I received was a text with a picture, which said we will do the job like that. This was my first warning sign, so I decided to write the job spec down as recommended by most consumer watchdogs. On seeing my written specification D&R decided to revisit and quote again, reducing some of the work and increasing the price. It is highly likely they always take this approach so they can charge more later. Despite this warning I still went ahead with the job having confidence on the back of research and reviews. We agreed a date for the work (8 weeks waiting time), and then I received a text the week before saying the job was cancelled. Very disappointed with D&R, how can you trust a firm if they don’t provide you with a formal quote and don’t communicate? Also, I got the impression that the firm was very busy – if this is the case, where are all their customer reviews?Friday 30th April 2021
