Very disappointed having been in today. Have a number of timber jobs coming up in the area so wanted to support a local business as opposed to the big corporates. Went in to get a 6mm MDF board cut down with ten cuts. Was told that it would be ‘too time consuming’ and that they couldn’t help. I offered an additional £10 on top of the board cost (around £25 I assume) to cover the extra time and wear on the blade and was simply told ‘not happening’. Ended up having to make a 45 minute round trip to B&Q in St Helens where they were happy to oblige, and offer up to 15 cuts per sheet free for a trade member, which I am. Took them less than 10 minutes to do the cuts that I’d offered Bridge Timer £10 extra for. Difficult to support local when they won’t take your money!
