James helped us set up our garden in our newly-moved home. His brief was to help us set up a low-maintenance, instant impact garden. The plants we wanted to buy for our specially designed flower bed were a combination of shrubs, bushes and small trees that would keep an all year round interest in the garden, while adding a balance of colours and fragrance. We gave him our brief and James helped us not only design the garden but also sourced the plants for us! The quality of the plants are all really quite outstanding and as some of them are flowering, which straight away created the instant impact that we had desired! Having procured the plants, he also planted them for us and has left us with a detailed maintenance plan, thereby providing an end-to-end garden set-up service. Every bit of our experience with James has been amazing and absolutely top notch! Extremely professional, James was patient in understanding our requirement, skillful in designing and implementing our ideas and most importantly prompt in his communication throughout the various stages of design and development. He even gave us the idea to paint the sleepers/bench which looks stunning. The thing that impressed us most was his genuine passion for plants and gardening, a love that translated brilliantly into the beautiful garden he has created for us, for which we will not only be happy to work with him again but will also very highly recommend him for anyone looking to seek his services!!

James came to do a spring tidy up of my garden in the pouring rain last week. I would like to wholeheartedly recommend him - he is friendly, hardworking, knowledgeable and obviously passionate about all things garden. He took time to recommend plants for different spots in my garden and gave me some very helpful advice. I will definitely be asking him back. Thanks James!

I found James through Instagram, while looking for a local gardener to do some one off hedge maintenance and fruit tree pruning. I have a very large beech hedge shared with a neighbour, and have always kept our side tidy but it has got out of hand height wise for us. James came and got the height down to a manageable level and made it look good too. He also carried out a winter prune of our three mature apple trees. I had an enjoyable morning with James, while he worked efficiently and with skill. He is passionate about gardening and knowledgeable about how to get the best from our fruit trees. Thoroughly recommend Amos Gardening.

Really rapid response to my enquiry. James provided a timely and reasonably priced service (removing a large wisteria in advance of some building work). He was polite and efficient and tidied the site well. He was also happy to share knowledge when asked questions unrelated to the task in hand. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I was looking for someone really knowledgeable about plants - especially the fruit trees we have, who would be able to correctly prune them. James pruned apple trees, roses and wisteria and was really knowledgeable about the correct way to do so. He was prompt and tidied away the cuttings so that I didn’t need to deal with these. Great service and refreshing to have someone so enthusiastic.
