This loft conversion with full width rear dormer on a terraced house in Bristol, supplied our clients with a much needed master bedroom and ensuite freeing up a first floor bedroom to become a home office to accommodate new working arrangements that they, and many of us, are now facing.  This striking single storey rear extension created a large kitchen and dining area which has now become the hub of the house and loved by the whole family. We designed this structure with a flat roof to accommodate a large lantern, exposed reclaimed brickwork with chariot pointing for added depth and added a large set of bifold doors to allow the outside garden space become part of the inside living. We were instructed to design the structural calculations for this internal knock through into an existing extension to create an open plan kitchen and living area. Once the original rear of the house had been removed, the space created became extremely flexible allowing the home owners to specify a layout that best suited their needs. We designed this rear kitchen extension utilising existing external walls whilst maximising internal heights without having a detrimental impact upon the neighbouring properties. We then completed the Building Regulation Compliant plans and structural calculations therefore removing the need to consult with additional parties.

Used Adam to create an open plan kitchen dining with tri-folding doors leading out onto the garden. Very pleased with the advice and the finished look plus it was very easy and efficient to arrange. Would use Adam again, hopefully to instal a loft conversion in the near future.
