Design We have a successful track record securing planning permission for ambitious designs on challenging sites across the UK. Our portfolio of built work encompasses residential, community and commercial that is designed and constructed both in the North West of England and South West of London  Depending on the project, specialist construction and fabrication services can be provided through our contracting arm. Joel takes a practical lead in the design process and ensures the clients are happy, maintaining Studio 16's reputation of producing a first class customer service. As studio director, Joel coordinates the team to deliver and execute projects to a first class standard.  James' expertise in large scale redevelopment and coupled with his commitment to operations management, enables him to ensure that work is produced in an efficient and timely manner. James takes a technical lead in the design process and ensuring the design information produced is to the required standard, co-ordinating with other design team members and delivering work within agreed programme dates.  Billie has Managed and procured a vast variety of projects including retail and hospitality, residential and community driven projects. At Studio 16 Architecture, she has experience in working with and communicating with clients, and working within tight time frames to ensure work is delivered on time. In order to develop her designs, Billie uses a range of techniques including mood boards and collages, model making, sketches and 3D visualisations. Billie also advises, helps and walks clients through the procurement process.

James and Joel were just fantastic at taking our views, ideas and needs, then turned them into a great space for us to live in. James made the best of the muddled space we had. He was contactable the whole way through the project. I couldn't recommend the service highly enough.

We recently instructed Studio 16a to be our architects for a house build. From the moment we met them we knew they would be a great fit for us. Really genuine and enthusiastic, with a passion for architecture. They had fresh new ideas, designs and ways of thinking. Getting our plans approved was not an easy task. There was some turbulence along they way, but James and Joel went above and beyond, working day and night (literally) to make our plans become a reality and accepted. We would not hesitate to recommend Studio 16A for any architectural services and we will certainly be using them again in the future.

Joel and James and the team have been outstanding from the beginning. We had no clue where to start with everything, they both made it such a smooth process and gave us ideas we wouldn’t have ever thought of They are realistic and honest and just what you need and have the right connections to put you in touch with for other needs whom they vet themselves. The designs were brilliant fun and interactive and even had a virtual reality tour of the plans. Their projects speak for themselves in terms of quality, they always manage to give that personalised experience and their full attention and commitment. They have a great passion for what they do and it shines through!

We have had the pleasure of working with both Joel and James for the past 12 months. This is our first build so we did not know what to expect .. Joel listened to our ideas taking in our style and family needs and the sensitivity of our 19th century property.. we were literally blown away by the 3D visuals he came back with it was a kitchen and basement extension that was above and beyond we dreamed possible. James has created brilliant plans and both have liaised with planning, engineers and builders on our behalf. The delays that Covid have brought have been frustrating but unavoidable and we can’t wait to start the build in April and to know we can trust James and Joel to be there throughout is a great feeling .. Naomi also gave us a fantastic interior design presentation that brought the whole project to life .. would totally recommend 16A and the whole team to anyone. Thank you

So refreshing to have someone committed, passionate and hungry to help and build us an incredible home!
